MY LIFE STORY

MY LIFE STORY

The elementary school I attended was Toussaint Louverture. My teachers were Mrs. Regain for kinagardan and second grade. For fist grade I had Mrs. Williams. In third grade I was placed in advance and I had Mrs. Sher. She was very mean but I learn a lot in her class. She would quiz us on the multiplication table and if you got it right she would give you a candy. In the fourth grade I had Mrs.Singhacoon she was so beautiful. She looked just like the lady character Pocahontas. In the fifth grade I had Mrs. Jasmine. She made me a patrol monitor out of guilt because she said something about my mom and I cried. My mother died when I was five my grandmother was the one who raised me and five siblings. I was scared to graduate form elementory school. I always thought that they would beat my up because I just left elementary school.
I went to Edison senior I had a lot of teachers; I can only remember the good ones. Mrs. Cooks was my English teacher and first period teacher. She would give us radiors bucks for wearing uniform. Uniform was mandatory at the time, they would us that to get us to wear it. The radiars bucks were redeemable for goodies. In middle school we went to a lot of field trips such as the plays, the fair, museum of science and the art museums and many more places. I meet both my girl and guy best friend in the middle school. I went to my first dance in middle school. I also was in the African talent show. We would wear the African attire and perform on the stage in front of the whole school. I had good time in middle school. I always wish that they had a school where everybody that went to middle school would go but I new that would never happen. My father died when i got to high school. It was sad but I didn't cry i just was getting close to him. My grandmother kept me away from him when i was a litter younger, but I went and lookd for him when when i was in the sixth grade.
Southwest Miami senior high school is where I attended for high school. I was bus to this school for the magnet banking and financing. I would catch the school to over town metro rail station. Then ride the train to university station and the other school bus would wait for me there. Every month we were given bus passes to get to school and not have to pay. The same way we went to school was the same way we went home. Southwest was a school filled with white; Hispanics and a hand fill of black kids. I was the only black in most of my classes. The only class that had a lot of blacks was the magnet class. Every first and third Wednesday of the week would have to wear business attire and every second and fourth Wednesday we would have to wear the shirt for a grade. The girls would greet their friends but kissing each other on the cheeks and the guys would also kids the girls on the cheeks. I thought to my self no way, I already have to do that at home. My parents were from Haiti and that’s how you would greet an adult, that’s a way of showing manners. A few months later I was greeting just like them, talking different. people would ask me what school I attended all the time because of the way that I talked.
I got my first job at sixteen at Ross dress for less. I was hard but I had to help my grandmother after my brother went away for college. I started dating my guy best friend in high school. He then was to come to the same school as me. He was at our home school Miami Edison Senior High. We were together for about a year we broke up our junior year. The magnet us to take us on a lot of field trips. We went bush garden, wet and wild, island of adventure. We also took trips to colleges like Miami Dade, FIU, and nova. In the eleventh grade I became more active in a group called MAC steppers a multicultural awareness club. I would stay after school and practice the steps and the dances. Every month we would perform on stage with the other dance teams in our school. There were dances like hip hop, jazz, ballet and many more.
The twelve grade year I thought would be the best. There was senior picnic, the homecoming. We also had field day for juniors and seniors that didn’t have to take the F-Cat. They had different games team food and a lot more it was like a school carnival with all the good stuffs. My life then took a changed when I was arrested for giving double discounts to an employee several times. She was much older then me, she told me that she would buy me stuffs if I did it and I did. I thought my life was over. I was still going to school but not as much. I went to grad night, senior breakfast and prom. I then drop out and failed two classes because I was missing so much days. I felt that there was no prepuce to go to school. The always told me that once you get arrested that know one would hire you to work for them. I couldn’t get a job no where. I finally got a job at McDonalds as a cashier. I then realize that I now needed a great education since I had that against me. I went back to school at Miami central senior high and got my high school diploma. I went to D.A. Dorsey education center and got my patient care technician license. I now work at Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital as a patient care tech In the pediatrics unit. I love my job and I make good money. Why am I here? both my parent are deceased and there is know one that is going to be her to baby me. I am here to better myself. I am here because I got a second chance and I going to make the best of it. I want to make good money. I want to work on becoming a register nurse. I love working with kids and I also love Jackson the benefits the need of nurses. I am here because I want to make a difference in some one else’s live. My parent didn’t have the opportunity that I have today. I want to make my self proud and also my family. I am proud because i am here try to make it. I thought my life was over but now it's a new beginning.
